Namaste. Welcome to India! It was an epic adventure and I want to share it with you.

Our first stop – the Oberoi Villas in Jaipur. A very lavish hotel boasting 30 beautiful acres.

Originally the residence of the Maharaja, now converted into the spa & pool area of the hotel.

300 year old Shiva temple located on the grounds.

Beautiful architecture and surroundings.

The old city of Jaipur known as the Pink City.

Visited the Elephant Sanctuary – so much fun!

Seen on the streets of Jaipur outside one of the many lush fabric stores.

The next stop was Varanasi. One of the holiest cities in India and the oldest living city. It was like a time warp.

Ready for our full moon boat ride down the Gange River.

One of the highlights of the trip was the sunrise boat trip down the Gange River.  Totally awesome.

The River Ganges considered sacred & worshipped by the Hindus who believe that bathing in the River causes the remission of sins.

A visit to the Buddha Temple near Sarnath where the Buddha taught his first sermon.

We flew into Rishikesh, a city renowned as a center for studying yoga & meditation.

Another highlight – the famous Ashram where the Beatles lived in the early 1960s.

Our last stop, the Ananda Spa Resort, situated at the Himalayan foothills, a beautiful luxurious wellness retreat integrating traditional Ayurveda, yoga & Vedanta.

Dressed in our Saris ready to celebrate our last evening at the spa.
