Labor Day Dirt

Sadly, this is the unofficial last weekend of the Summer. But, there are always plenty of things to do around here; take a stroll, bike ride or drive on the newly restored and just reopened California Incline. Here is a really cool time lapse video of the reconstruction of this historic part of Santa Monica. The Incline has been a famous site in movies and for tourists.

This weekend is the 94th opening of the Los Angeles County Fair. Enjoy shopping, rides, farm animals and concerts. Of course the food has also become a main attraction, grab something fried, barbequed or deliciously sweet.

The Taste, happening at the Paramount studios in Hollywood, from Friday to Sunday a culinary extravaganza. L.A.’s top chefs and restaurants will be part of the five events, grab tickets for either the Opening Night, Field to Work, Dinner with a Twist, Sunday Block Party or Flavors of LA.

Enjoy the Last Pool Party of Summer, hosted at the Viceroy between 1 – 5pm. Tickets are $15 per person include a pair of free sunglasses and discounted Svedka drinks.

This Sunday, check out the Rosenthal Labor Day Libations event, including DJ’s, lots of wine and food trucks. Tickets start at $15.

Real Estate Info: Many people have asked about renting in the North of Montana Ave marketplace and I ran some stats on rents and leasing. Take a look and call me if you would like to know what your home might be worth on the rental market.

You will see that the averages are pretty high, this is because the Ocean Ave and Palisades Beach Road properties skew the numbers.
