I wrote a few weeks back about a new water neutrality ordinance that is an effort to limit water usage in hopes to be better prepared for a future drought. The City of Santa Monica has decided to move forward with the ordinance and it will go into effect July 1st. A new water calculator will be uploaded to the website and the city staff is ready to assist with the new permitting process.
Santa Monica rent control board has voted on an annual rental increase cap of $40. Currently landlords can increase rent by 2% but cannot exceed the cap. Also the City is considering restricting homeowners from listing their Accessory Dwelling Units on short term vacation rental websites.
This weekend is Father’s Day, several events are happening not too far from here. The Rodeo Drive Concours D’Elegance, the annual car show featuring unique automobiles and motorcycles.
