The world famous pier was built in 1909, of course it has gone through many changes and upgrades since then. This is one of my favorite summertime places in Santa Monica; I have wonderful memories taking my children and now my grandchildren for a fun filled day.
In 1915 they decided to add an additional structure to the pier for an amusement park known today as, Pacific Park.
The Ferris wheel is quite infamous –no image of Santa Monica landscape is without it. The colors light up the evening sky.
You cannot escape an amusement park without having popcorn, cotton candy and churros. There is also no shortage of funnel cake.
Win a souvenir prize at any of the numerous games throughout the park.
The carousel was the first ride added to the Park back in 1916, although the current one is not the original, it was replaced in 1947.
Cool off with one of the many soda pops from Soda Jerks, they are also known for their delicious milkshakes.
No shortage of rides for young kids. The bumper boats are separated by age and fun for everyone.
Enjoy the ocean breezes while having your cartoon character portrait created.
Snap a photo in front of the famous Route 66.
Panoramic Ocean views all around a picture perfect beach day!
