L.A. Marathon: Prepare for “Nightmarish” Traffic this Sunday

This Sunday the 28th L.A. Marathon will be closing many streets all over the city.  Traffic will be a nightmare for city goers especially those travelling close to the marathon’s vicinity.  City officials have advised to plan ahead and seek alternate routes (see map here).  The marathon will involve city streets going east to west and cover areas Los Angeles, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica.

The race starts at around 7:30AM Sunday March 17th but street closures will start at 6AM.  It will be 26.2 miles.  Thousands of racers as well as spectators are reported to participate and attend.
