Good news Santa Monica – according to a new study released by the USC Edward Roybal Institute on Aging, you are going to live 5 years longer than your neighbors. You can start planning your 85th Birthday now! According to the study the results have a lot to do with the access seniors have to medical and health care providers- with 1,100 doctors per 100,000 residents vs. 49 doctors per 100,000 residents in the greater LA region.  Apparently we also have fewer major diseases, including arthritis and diabetes. Lastly, another upside to living near the beach is that 84% of Westside residents receive more emotional, as well as, social support than their counterparts. If that’s not all reason to celebrate than I don’t know what is- break out the cake and champagne!

There are three new listings in the north of Montana Avenue neighborhood this week.   There are two re-lists: 101 17th Street and 302 23rd Street. 101 17th Street is now priced at $7,955,000 from $8,665,000. 302 23rd Street, on the other hand, was reduced in April 2015 to $6,595,000 and now currently listed back at its original price of $6,750,000.

Two homes are in escrow this week – 415 7th Street and 637 Euclid Street.
