Santa Monica has plenty of fun summer events coming up for all ages:
- Wine tasting – Around the World in 80 Wines on June 24th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. For $30, you can taste five wines with fancy cheese. The location of this summer event is 1520 Olympic Boulevard, Santa Monica, CA 90404. If you’re a fan of Shark Week, you’ll enjoy Shark Sundays at the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium. It happens every Sunday at 3:30 pm. Check out this collection of Swell and Horn sharks while learning a few facts about them. Kids 12 and under get in for free; everyone else is $5.
- Food Trucks – Hump Day Lot, a gathering of food trucks at 1401 Santa Monica Boulevard – will make it easy for you to try food from as many as 6 trucks in the same area. This ongoing event takes place every Wednesday starting June 24th, and will last from 10 am to 3 pm for lunch and 4 pm to 9 pm for dinner.
- Looking to get patriotic sooner than the 4th of July? Santa Monica College will be hosting Celebrate America on June 27 at Corsair Field. This free event will start at 7 pm, and will feature food trucks and booths, as well as live entertainment by the Derek Bordeaux Group. Fireworks will start at 9 pm. We used to watch this show from the Cemetery across the street from the school. It was spooky and fun!
- There are plenty of places to enjoy Independence Day fireworks, but Main Street in Santa Monica on the 4th will have a parade from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
Do you have any other Santa Monica summer events to add to the list? Let us know!
