Every Thursday evening in the summertime, the Santa Monica Pier hosts the free Twilight Concert series.
This summer’s line up included Morris Day & the Time, JD McPherson, Rebirth Brass Band, and Sister Nancy.
I took my family down to the pier for a magical evening last Thursday to see Jefferson Starship.
The energy at the pier is electric and the colors against the night sky are enchanting.
Some Santa Monica locals even take the time to get there before the masses do to set up amazing seating arrangements like this.
Everyone comes with blankets and picnic baskets in tow. A lovely spot to stop by to pick up some fun items to snack on is Joan’s on Third .
