The Santa Monica Place shopping mall has experienced quite a few changes over the years when it comes to dining options. Sadly and recently a few great restaurants have closed their doors. The Redwood Grill is officially out of business after a little over a year with no news yet as to who will take over that huge space. Construction has started across the way for the upcoming Cheesecake Factory at the previous Zengo and La Sandia locations. The popular restaurant chain is on point with a large following. And did you know that the ultra-luxury Arclight Cinemas is coming soon and will be equipped with a full bar and café? Scheduled to launch this fall, I am sure the Arclight will be a big hit and hopefully bring more diners to the 3rd level restaurants. What would you like to see open up in Santa Monica next?
If 51% of Santa Monica property owners send a written letter to the City Council protesting the proposed 78% water rate increase, the City of Santa Monica cannot impose the increase. Emails do not count and the letters must be received at City Hall no later than February 24th. Letters must include the property owner’s name, address and must state that the writer opposes the proposed increase.
