This is the time of year to share a meal with friends and or family, but if the pressure to throw a Pinterest-inspired dinner party is more than you can handle, there are plenty of other options! Santa Monica is full of restaurants providing both traditional and exciting menus for this year’s Thanksgiving dinner.
Bristol Farms, offers fully cooked turkeys and sides to go, perfect if you want to impress your guests without messing up the kitchen. In addition other cooked and uncooked meats such as ham, prime rib, salmon fillet or even a slow roasted goose, all go perfectly with honey glazed carrots, yam soufflé, risotto or a handful of other melt in your mouth entrees.
The Hungry Cat, is serving a deep fried turkey, along with a great 3-course dinner menu, with lots of delicious sides and pumpkin pie for dessert, plus an a la carte raw bar. Adults are $65 and kids 10-2 years of age are $32.50.
Tavern, has great vegan and vegetarian options, in addition to the traditional turkey prepared by chef Suzanne Goin, with chestnut stuffing, sweet potatoes with sherry and shallots, brussels sprouts, and cranberry sauce with orange and mint. Finished with pumpkin pie or a candied pecan tart. Adults $65 and kids 12 years and under are $35.
Jiraffe will prepare a prix fixe menu from the sea, courses include lobster bisque with Maine lobster, Dungeness crab cake, oven-roasted turkey, wild seafood bouillabaisse, three cheese mashed potatoes, and French apple pie with rum-raisin ice cream to name a few. Adults are $72 kids under 12 years are $35.
The Fig, one of my personal favorite restaurants, will be hosting Thanksgiving dinner. Enjoy your favorite dishes served family style by Chef Ray Garcia. Seatings at noon, 3pm and 6pm and the cost per person is $69.
Do you prefer to dine in or out, if so who’s got the best menu in town?
