This Holiday Season I flew from Johannesburg to Botswana and visited two lodges in the Okavango Delta.
The first lodge I visited was Khwai River lodge situated on the North Bank of the Khwai River.
Every morning & evening I went on these incredible game drives.
Came across many lions. Truly a sight to see.
Botswana is elephant country. Saw many herds. A real treat to see all the animals with their young.
Hyenas and their babies going about their day.

A herd of wild buffalo. The Okavango offers an abundance of game. Saw many herds of animals running across the plains.
And animals drinking from the water holes.
Having a sip of wine on the plains of Africa.
Flew into Eagle Island lodge and was greeted with “Damelo” the Hello song.

Each evening enjoying the spectacular sunsets over the Boro Channel.

Dinner in the “Boma” out in the Bush.
Saying farewell to the Eagle Island lodge was hard.
Last day on the beautiful property.
The outdoor shower was a real treat.
The bar where I shared many cocktails with the wonderful guests.
Staring across the plains and thinking, “I will be back!”
