The Water Police are Coming!

The water police are coming, as they should since California is suffering one of its worst droughts year to date! Today new water regulations have gone into effect; these regulations are no longer voluntary but absolutely mandatory. The fine could be up to $500 a day mostly for repeat offenders. Wasteful water usage such as overwatering your yard, lack of a nozzle on the hose when washing your vehicle and washing driveways and/or sidewalks will result in a fine. The City has a wide range of fines based on each violation some less expensive than others. However, all sanitary water usage by the City to remove graffiti or clean alley ways is permitted. California’s central valley has been suffering for many years, paying very high prices for water usage or being cut-off completely. North of Montana Santa Monica 241 19th St

I have heard a lot of rumors about the new regulations, neighbors reporting other neighbors, that the City is going to hire “water cops” and that homes will be required to have automatic sinks and shower heads. With all the new revenue California should possibly invest in Israel’s desalinated water system.

What do you think about the Fed’s decision to conserve water?
